Dactylorhiza purpurella

Dactylorhiza purpurella
This is a species widespread in the north of the UK producing deep purple flowers. The plants are usually quite short with thick wide leaves and a tight flower head. Grows well in a variety of soils but prefers some damp. These are seed raised tubers of good size. Having been grown in a perlite/coir mix the tubers are creamy in colour and most are of good size. They should bulk up well both in the ground and pots. An ideal species to plant in a meadow in areas north of Manchester. Plants are sent out dormant from October to the end of March; potted to UK customers. Plants are fully checked when dispatched. Please notify me of any problems within 14 days of receipt. No refund will be made after this period.
