This is a very striking hybrid of B striata producing large white flowers with a pale yellow lip,.
The plants are sold in 13 cm pots. These are mature plants with large pseudo-bulbs at the base of each spike which should produce some good new flower spikes in the autumn. The compost is 100% coir with slow release fertilizer added. If the plants are kept in the pots they will need regular watering.
As they have finished flowering this year (having come from a greenhouse) now is the ideal time to plant and allow the plant to settle in before the new buds begin to grow. It is also the time I normally divide the plants as autumn division always leads to the damaging of the new growths.
