This is the Southern Marsh orchid which grows in a range of habitats.I n the UK it grows in the wild up to a line from Liverpool to North Yorkshire. It normally flowers in May at 30/50 cm tall in a varitey of colours from pink to purple. They clump up well. Like all of the native species it is not easy to identify as the flower is similar to other species and all species readily hybridize. Tubers are normally sent out dormant from OCTOBER to MARCH.
