Cypripedium fasciolatum is a Chinese species which flowers early in the spring. It's flowers are amongst the largest of all the species, growing on quite short stems. like most of the farceastern species it is best grown in a pot and kept in a cold alpine house during the winter.
The plants are sent out to customers in the UK in two litre pots in a suitable mix which enables the purchaser to either grow the plant in the pot in a cold frame or it can be plunged in the soil in a cold shady spot. Plants are sent out from October to March whilst the plants are dormant.
