This resembles the European Ladyslipper but is far easier to grow in the garden. It derives vigour both from parviflorum and its hybrid nature. Strong-growing it has slightly larger flowers than c parviflorum. It reaches 25-35cm with intensely coloured flowers which open in mid-May. Some clones have a red blush on the bowl. It is a very easy garden plant and has the advantage of being scented. Most plants offered this year have 3/4 buds.
Plants are sent out to UK customers in 2 lt pots with the most suitable compost for them to grow well. They are dispatched between OCTOBER and MARCH.
