This tuberous orchid is also known in the USA as the Grass Pink as its leaves are grass like and the flower spike with 4/6 flowers is produced in July. Growth starts in April. It has an oval hard tuber. Ideal for a bog garden as it can withstand frost. If grown in a container it needs plenty of water in the bottom. Some growers simply use live sphagnum whilst others a mix of peat, perlite and moss.
Dormant tubers are normally sent out from September to March.
