This is the Lax or Jersey Orchid. The latter because it is the only site in the UK where it grows in the wild. A tall flowering species with large tubers its habitat is wet grassland areas. It grows well in a pot provided it is kept damp at all times. It needs a larger pot than most anacamptis because of the large size of the tuber and it habit of producing a long dropper. Growth starts late and it will not open into a rosette until early in the new year with flowering in late April.
Plants are normally sent out potted to customers in the UK. Full growing instructions at the top of this section. They can normally be sent during the period AUGUST to the end of NOVEMBER after which time growth is such that the rosette may get damaged. Plants are fully checked when dispatched. Please notify me of any problems within 14 days of receipt. No refund will be made after this period.
